With a slightly extended barrel, the Zero-Five is capable of firing higher velocity projectiles, resulting in more damage being dealt each hit. However, it seems like whoever designed these handguns did not want to increase the size of the weapon, having moved certain components in order to extend the barrel inside the gun rather than forward. The unfortunate side effect is that the vibrations from the barrel now causes more wear and tear on the internal mechanisms of the weapon.
